September 2025:
Arlo fell from a roof. We found him with a fractured elbow joint and fractured back leg, and he was in so much pain. The first few days, he was vomiting tree leaves constantly. An X-ray showed they were lodged in his GI tract. This shows how desperately hungry he must have been – he couldn’t walk to find food, so he had to eat whatever was available.
He was quite aggressive towards the veterinary staff at first, but we couldn’t blame him for this. All he knows is pain and abuse. He’s safe now.
October 2025:
Arlo’s confidence is growing, and he’s starting to trust the vet staff now. The vomiting has stopped, and he’s cleared the tree leaves from his system. He’s currently taking anti-inflammatories, synoquin, and pain relief, while we wait to see if he will need surgery for his hind leg fracture. The vet believes the damage to his front leg will heal okay on its own, which we’re hoping will happen because surgery on two legs would be a lot for this poor boy to go through.
