Four Paws One Heart is a small organisation dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating the street dogs and cats of Cairo, Egypt. Dogs are rehomed to the UK and Ireland.
The rescue was founded by a British woman, Georgia, in 2024. After seeing the stories of Egyptian dogs online, she travelled to Cairo to help them in person and spread global awareness of their plight. These poor animals, particularly German Shepherds, are subjected to unimaginable levels of abuse by local people, and the authorities do nothing to help them.
Georgia and her team work closely with two local vets, and dogs are boarded at a farm just outside Cairo while the rescue works on building their own sanctuary nearby.
A UK-based team provides support. Although the rescue’s heart lies in Egypt, when resources permit, Four Paws also helps to rehome British dogs through our small network of foster homes.
