Jack

This lovely old boy was found dumped in a place called October with a Rottweiler (Rolo). He was suffering from extreme mange, severely malnourished, his teeth rotten and worn down from eating rocks, and ears absolutely stinking from infection. Worse, he was suffering from life-threatening anaemia caused by blood parasites.

His teeth age him at around fifteen years old, but we believe they look so bad due to the amount of abuse and neglect, and he’s actually around eight. It’s clear he’s been either eating rocks in an attempt to survive, or trying to chew his way out of somewhere.

For five months, he stayed in the vet clinic receiving constant care and blood transfusions – sweet Rosie was his first donor.

Jack gained weight at last, his fur has grown back, and now he can be on the farm and meet friends new and old. We are so relieved to see Jack healthy again, but the vets have been amazing with him.

Jack is now recovering further on the farm while he hopes for a forever home ❤️

Update August 2025

Jack has made a good recovery, and he’d love to find his forever home.
He’s an older gent, very chilled, loves his food and most importantly, his humans!
He’s a big fan of belly rubs, bum scratches, and kisses – he’s very affectionate.
He also enjoys walks and sniffy adventures.
