Junior was found wandering the streets, covered in ticks. There wasn’t one part of his body that wasn’t infested. The person who originally found him was told to douse him in chemical spray to kill the ticks, so he did.
Junior is lucky it didn’t kill him too.
It goes without saying but he has Erelichia (blood parasites), severe anaemia, and all the usual problems that come with untreated ticks.
He weighs only 15 kg. Also his legs and feet are extremely sore from the ticks embedded into his pads and toes. His eyes are slightly inflamed and irritated from the ticks latching onto his eyelids.
Junior is showing a little aggression towards people and the other dogs in the clinic. He is scared, he is somewhere new, it’s unknown to him we are trying to help him, it seems never in his life he has known what it is to be cared for.
